Lol! That's one happy kitten.![]()
Looks like she's enjoying the holiday season!
So stinkin cute! No way to be mad about that.
Hey, you got a kitten light and ornamentSpuds is so, cute.
Our water is better than I've found in other places, but the profit margin would be too low for the effort![]()
dangit!!Good morning, all! Kind of rough afternoon and night here, and it's now 4:48am - been up for almost an hour. Had a bit of a scare yesterday with chest pains, shortness of breath, exhaustion, pain between my shoulders, and a cough so deep it hurt my ribs to cough. Ken called Dr. and he wanted me in right away, but I had Kendra and couldn't leave until one of the kids got here to pick her up. And of course it's icy as all get-out with blowing snow.
Of course the first thing they did was thoroughly out check my heart. Aside from it working a little harder to do its job, it checked out okay. Guess I have some pneumonia, but not serious enough to require staying in the hospital. Came home late last night with some antibiotics, cough syrup with codeine, new supply of albuterol for my nebulizer, and Diflucan because for me antibiotic = almost instant thrush. Gotta go back on Friday for a recheck, and then follow up with cardiologist on the 15th.
I hate being sick. I have no tolerance for the time it takes out of my day. Jenny was going to ask for the day off today so I can rest up a bit, but I told her absolutely not! She had to take a day off when Kendra's Mace popped out, another when we had to take the girls to the geneticist, another when we got Kendra fitted for new braces, and they have to go Denver on the 18th for appointments for Kendra starting that Monday so she'll have to take 4 more days off for that - more if the weather is bad and they are stuck down there. Ken is home, and aside from doing Kendra's actual cathing he can take care of her every bit as well as I do. He can pick her up and get her on the cath table for me. I learned yesterday when I picked her up to cath her that it was extremely painful and difficult, so he took over. I ain't doing that again!
All's well that ends well. I really thought it was my heart again - I even packed an overnight bag in case I got taken up to Billings by ambulance like I did last time. Didn't need it. See, that's why we have a winter emergency kit in each vehicle.....if we are unprepared, that's when bad things happen but having the stuff ready and available means we'll just lug it from place to place all winter and never have to use it!![]()

Thanks. We caught it very early so the guaifenesin/codeine should thin stuff down and help me get it out, and the nebulizer will make breathing easier. I didn't even suspect pneumonia - haven't felt sick sick - more hurting than sick, and I'm not even sure I even ran a fever.....if I did it was inconsequential and I didn't even notice. Weird, but that's what made me think heart again. A few more days and I'll be right as rain.So sorry about the pneumonia, thank God it wasn't your heart.
.
Wish you could find a way to take some time for yourself....get well soon.![]()
