The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning all! You know it's going to be a good day when you wake up and check the thermometer to see that not once all night did that little minus sign show up in front of a number!!

Hear the winds are howling down your way, Debby. Casper has sustained wind of 60 to 70 mph and gusts to 77 and it's not much beter around Cheyenne. <sigh>

Hey Bunny! What's your weather like, do you get snow where you are there in NC?

Snow that accumulates is a fairly rare event here. We are much more likely to get freezing rain/icing events, and have been flirting scary close to that repeatedly during the last week or so. A lot of the trees around here are typical southern pine species, and with those long needles, they afford a lot of surface area for ice to build up on and they just can't take the weight. Add in the fact that a lot of the drivers around here haven't a clue how to drive in slippery conditions, and of course, absolutely nobody has the tires for it, and you can understand why the whole town basically shuts down if we get any kind of "winter precipitation."

For the most part, when Bunny gets snow it's some kinda special event.
In my area (central part of state) we get a inch or 2 at a time most years and it's not a big deal.
Some years thou we get all of the snow at once with a big cold front that freezes everything including the snow in place for several days at a time.
