Good morning all! I love Christmas but today I'm putting everything away as I'm a Christmas hoarder and all the stuff is driving me crazy.

We're actually a day late around here, and it's got to be done because if ever we needed every inch of spare space it's right now! We usually do our "Pie Day" thing on Christmas Day and then the kids and grandkids help take it all down before they go home. But there's been a lot of excitement around here and it got put on the back burner until today. I have a size 10 Christmas in a size 10 house. <sigh>

Dustin and Little Diane were planning on leaving tomorrow, and she's the only one who has to worry about not getting back to work on Wednesday. When they gave Dustin his days off to come home they gave him 2 extra traveling days in case the weather went sour. So she called her bosses last night and they said if the roads were bad to wait one more day to travel. So now we're watching the weather and road reports like crazy. A lot of I-90 was closed yesterday and there are blizzard warnings around Rapid City, but maybe that will clear out today, Crews can get at the roads, and by Wednesday they should be in better shape. Of course, she's also worried about her animals - got friends watching the cats and the dog, and I'm not sure who is taking care of that stoopid snake. Those critters are the only "kids" Little Diane and Dustin will have....she has a hereditary condition called "Marfans Syndrome" and she says at least in her immediate family it stops with her. That's fine with me - she's not too affected but her half sister has lots of issues with hers and so does their dad. So she says she's not risking it.

Anyway, I've always said that it seems every Christmas gets better and better. This one definitely proved that. We'll miss them when they leave, but this memory will be with me forever!

Back to reality today .. housework and grocery shopping before returning to work tomorrow.

I had a look at the weather forecast for the next week and next Saturday and Sunday they are predicting 95F .. eeew

DMC, I hear where you're coming from on the Christmas stuff. DH likes to keep it all out until New Year's but I'm ready to have the house back to normal.

Hi Chris! I just saw on tv where it said George Michael died of heart failure. Too bad, he was only 53.

I finally got to sit down. My house is back in order and the last load of laundry is in the dryer...woohoo! Cats go to the vet in the morning and I have 1 cleaning job, so an easy day

Christmas is over. Everyone just left. The Princess and I have cleaned up the place, and I can now go back to being a hermit.
