The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Amen.  I was forced to sever ties with one sister, and that greatly improved my life.  She is calling and attempting to get back into my life, but too much damage over too many years makes that impossible for me.  My immediate family, my oldest sister and my friends complete my world.  I wish it could be different, but I just can't trust her.  :idunno

Trust is a biggie. My brother let one of my sisters keep a large sum of money for him a while back. (long story why) but she needed some and thought she would reimburse it before he needed it. Oops, she was wrong.

But they eventually worked it out. I'm not sure they ever will forget it, but I guess they have forgiven it.

I would be embarrassed to say how much I have spent on dog beds, but it is well worth it to see my family(dogs) happy. Greyhounds are the sweetest dogs ever, it's a shame how they are treated.

I know my sister well enough to guarantee that as soon as she signed up she was at the pet store buying up big time!

It is a win/win situation; the dogs get a second chance at a good life and she has some company. I can't remember the last time she was without a dog and I am so chuffed for her and Freddie.

It is not hard to imagine her having a houseful of greyhounds and I would not be surprised if Freddie has not already found his forever home

Aww, that's so nice that they are helping each other out. Dogs are the best. I have read that the retired greyhounds are the easiest dogs to keep. I have thought about them, especially when we used to have a track in our state. Thankfully it closed down years ago.

You got me thinking about greyhounds now, must stop it, no more dogs, 5 is my limit.

Tee hee …. I hear ya!

Was thinking about it myself also but we are not currently in a situation where we can have a dog.

When we move later this year we will be adopted ourselves by the resident Border Collie and I am looking forward to that!

I lost my much loved fur baby 6 years ago now and I am just starting to think that having a dog around the place again would be nice … I blame my sister lol
