Good point .. mosquito season runs for 11 months and 3 weeks here. The remaining week is spread over the 12 months and is basically just 7 days of the year that you are lucky enough not to get bitten.

For future reference .. mosquitoes may be referred to as '47 Teethers' in some posts by this Australian

Skeeters are so large and vicious that you nearly could give "mosquito season" the same meaning as "deer season"

That's true, when I am out fishing nothing I hate worse than to see a skeeter dive bomb a eagle nest and haul the baby away..
