I looked it up she did kind of pick it. The monarchs do not want to have their birthday on a day with crappy weather so they move it from the off months to the summer so they get better weather for their picnic....
Her birthday is in April and she celebrates in July. Prince whatshisname has a birthday in November he celebrates in May or June...

Interesting. I'm not sure either of them know too much about anything these days. Prince Philip was always one crazy person. If you are bored, google his faux pas - he was the most shockingly un-PC person around!
