Part of the hang up is we don't get mail to our physical address...it's not optional, everyone here, even those living in our tiny town, has to have a PO box. I had to get a letter from my bank to prove my physical location. And because I was married before, have to show my divorce decree from that marriage and the marriage certificate to DH.

My FL dl doesn't expire for a few more years, it might be easier to keep that one and just fly to FL when the time comes to renew, lol.

Yep, same PO Box issue here. There is no house-to-house mail delivery service so the whole town has to go to the PO to get the mail. Causes all kinds of hate and discontent when you try to do something like apply for a passport (ask me how I know that one!), try to schedule a UPS or FedEx delivery, or change a military ID card. Plus side is because there is no option here for home mail delivery, the PO box is free. In my case utility bills, which just by the nature of the service they provide, have to have both your PO mailing address and the service address on them, so that worked.

Better check the law before you decide to do that, Debby. I do believe you have one year to change to a Wyoming license after relocating here.

No worries Blooie, I'll keep chipping away at getting everything they need.

We get our PO box at no cost too, that's some compensation anyway!

It is a funny feeling having to work today after having yesterday off. Even though it is Friday, I have a mild case of Mondayitis and feel like I got ripped off with a 1 day weekend

Hi Teila! I never did make it to the DMV today...still hunting for the birth certificate. I should have one here somewhere, I'm pretty sure I was born.



BIG news tonight! The trial is over and the jury came back with guilty on all counts. The judge has some time to state what the exact sentences will be and if they will be stacked or run one after the other but that dude is going away for a long time and the other guy 5-10 years. Whew!

Awesome!!!! As glad as I am that those thugs will be off the streets, I'm even happier that the wait and worry is over for you and hubby!
 
Thank you all, it is a relief.

Have to tell you what one of my favorite parts of the trial was. The DA closed out his part of questioning DH by asking if his wife told him chasing those guys was a stupid thing to do...DH had to say an emphatic "yes", lol. Guess he's been listening to me after all

As glad as I am these 2 are going away for years and won't be a danger to anyone in the community, a part of me feels badly for their parents. No matter how rotten a child grows up to be, that has to be painful for the parents to see their children end up like this. No one wants that kind of life for their kids. Drinking, drugs and a bad crowd are a recipe for trouble.
