The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Blooie, bet your girls loved the chicken salad.
They did, but not as much as the other customers in line and the girl behind the counter did. When I left there they were all laughing.

J, how frustrating that must be with the mites and the heat. But it was so nice to see a photo of Miss Pink and her babies, very cute!

Agree...fighting those little boogers is multiple-margarita time. But Miss Pink is a cutie!

Teila, I don't envy you 37C! I thought it was bad when it got to 30C in the house yesterday.

N F C, hope your poor man is doing ok. Will he be a good patient for you? My DH would drive me crazy - he has trouble sitting still.

Blooie, that's such a cute photo of your girls eating their salad. I must confess a bit of Southern Comfort in some L&P (a kiwi soft drink) is my go to after a hard day. And battling mites sure justifies a drink! At least I only got bitten/had a reaction the first time I cleaned out the coop. So itchy!

whoop whoop, how is the Beast?

Good morning folks

N F C I too hope that everything is going OK and hubby’s surgery went well; you are both in my thoughts.

Blooie that picture of your gals eating their Macca’s chicken salad is adorable!

We're home!

DH came through the surgery just fine but his poor foot is swollen about twice the usual size. He's sleeping off the anesthesia right now but that sucker is going to hurt. I got a prescription filled for some heavy-duty pain killers. He said he doesn't want to take them (Mr. Tough you know?) so I just told him I was grinding them up and putting them in his food. He isn't sure if I'm kidding or not. Think I'll leave him guessing on that one

Thanks for all the well-wishes everyone!

Oh my gosh! One of the worst things you can do to yourself after surgery is get caught without pain control on board when the local wears off. Good luck to you and DH. Not sure I would skimp on the mixing them with food. If he's worried about being on them tell him to appease you for 24 hours. By then, Ibuprofen should keep him from crying.
