The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning folks :frow

Phase 1 is complete .. hubby [and car  .. phew] has arrived at Forrest Beach.  Now we just have to complete Phase 2: Pets and Phase 3: Me ;)

N F C good to hear that your son arrived OK at his grandma’s.  I bet she is loving seeing him.

I had a good chuckle at your “one of those days” post.

Blooie still smiling here!  Tam’s home is adorable! I hope your day was not too long.

DMC my fingers are crossed for your son also, I hope he is successful.

Dawn pleased you are home safe.

I got nuff’n .. just trying to get myself into a new routine, adjust to my temporary single life and of course, packing

Have fun all! :hugs

Thanks Teila! Glad your hubby made it safely!!!

Well it wasn't that much time for the MRI. He had to see the surgeon at 10, which meant 10.30 in doctor time and doc ordered the MRI. That was supposed to happen at 3:00 so we got here at 2:30 but they got freaked out when they asked him if he'd ever been in combat. Ken told them yes so they asked if he'd ever had metal fragments. Yep. So then they start backtracking AND contacting everyplace he's ever had a chest x-ray or MRI (including the naval hospital in Virginia circa 1989!) to try to clear him for this MRI! Seriously? Most of those records are long gone, and more current ones have shown NOTHING left of the shrapnel. It used to work its way to the skin surface and he'd just pull it out like an ingrown hair for pete's sake!! Well, they decided they weren't sure of his status so now he's at the other side of the building getting a chest x-ray and THEN they'll bring him back for the MRI. So figuring we left home at 7:00 am and it's now almost 5, and Kendra and I are still sitting here, and facing a 2 hour drive when he finally gets done, this day is ridiculous.

6:00 and we're finally done. Have to come back up to Billings Thursday for results and decision. Thanks, guys. Kendra was tense when she first realized it was a hospital but 47. Brides of The Ehhrls on the Bus - every stinkin' verse - later and she was totally perfect for the whole day! Teehee

@sourland happy birthday to the Princess! Did you win big? If not, as long as you didn't lose your shirt, you're ahead, lol.

DMC, I thought we were bad with the wind...you win!

Teila, glad to hear you can now move on the Phase 2 of the move. Don't get too used to that single lifestyle, this is just temporary ya know!

Blooie, what an exhausting day. Hope you can take it easy tonight.

Worked too hard all my life for my money to gamble - the Gypsy Princess on the other hand ------------------------------------.

She's the only gamble I've taken.
