Whee! Let's set up a meet...Rawlins is only 12 miles from my house.
How exciting!!!!!!
Make sure you take a picture or more and post them![]()
Hi Debby! It was yesterday and they are good. They got a little dingy from the anesthesia I think...I wonder if Spuds was allergic to it as his eyes were pretty pink and he kept rolling and scratching up against things. They are peppy today though, I was just recording them trying to catch a gnat...hilarious!
Glad to hear things went well for them (can't believe I lost a day somehow).
Give them a hug for me!

Gorgeous pics! They are growing so fast.Hope you two had fun!
It's pouring with rain in my little corner of the world. I had to drag the dog outside (literally) to make her go to the toilet!!! She HATES the rain, or even if the ground is wet, yet we go to the beach and she's straight in the water, swimming. Dogs! Or maybe it's just mine?! We keep telling her we'll give her to a farmer to toughen her up - we're pretty sure the farmer would tell us we could have her back pretty quick though!
Thought I'd update with a few photos. The quail are growing like weeds and the Javas are looking beautiful in their feathers. Looks like they'll be all tan brown until their moult at 3 months old. They are almost a month old so should start venturing out of their nest soon. I found the oldest peering out at the world when I got up this morning. They enjoy having a pat and a chat now (after they've eaten of course).
This one is a Rosetta Tuxedo These ones are Italians
Here's a younger one sitting on top of an older one - as you can see just a few days makes a huge difference. These two are 3-4 days apart in age.
And this is the youngest of them all who my DH named Cyclops!
