Sending prayers your way Debby! If he ends up with gall bladder surgery that is a cake walk compared to the other surgerys he's had. I don't understand why people steal. Did he find the culprit?

Thanks DMC. He's not 100% sure who stole the tools but has a good idea. The same type of tools were stolen from another employee's car when the suspected person borrowed the car. For the same sort of thing to be stolen twice in about a week's time when just that one person had access to both seems suspicious. There are 2 pawn shops in town and he's notified both of them in case the stuff turns up there.

And you're right about the surgery (if it comes to that). Hoping it doesn't though.

Just when I think I'm done posting, I think of something else to post...sorry for rambling...

DH has had a few tough days and is stressed way too much. Someone in the maintenance crew stole some of DH's personal tools (actually the Christmas present I gave him last year). Today he has to fire one of the pro shop employees. His gall bladder is causing a lot of pain so he goes in today for a sonogram. Any extra prayers for things to get better for him would be much appreciated.

So sorry to hear this, it seems y'all cannot catch a break.

Another theft, inadequate employee numbers and OMG another probable surgery. Bad things come in 3's so heres wishing that very soon everything will get back on an even keel with smooth sailing for the rest of the season

Some small signs of improvement today. EEG was clear except for the seizure activity, EKG good, CT scan and MRI were clear as well. She's responding to her name sometimes, but totally unable to follow any commands. She is still intubated. I didn't fully understand her daughter's message that saId, "They are just watching to see if her brain function comes back" but I haven't actually talked to anyone there yet - I'm just going by a quick group text message. But I'll take whatever glimmer of hope we get.

Jae, I'm sorry about Piper...she was such a cute little stinker. The Javas are looking great though!

Debby, what a downer to find out about hubby's gall bladder. I know he talked about it when I was down there, so it's not a big surprise but it still doesn't make things any better. Keep his chin up - with a stiff upper cut if you have to.

Keep up this good food preparation and you'll have mobs of people out there....hey, you might even open a food truck and set it up on the Interstate - might slow the traffic down a bit!

DMC, sneaky chicken probably has a side gig you don't know anything about - yet! Glad she's back!

I've been too distracted to follow much...just know that I think of you and pray for you all every day. And I do appreciate all of the love and support from this group!

Debby, you guys are having a bad time of it. There are some days you wonder if there are any good people left in the world - then you come on BYC and you know there are! But stealing equipment from the person employing you is low.

Blooie your description of Linda is testament that good things do indeed come in small packages. Great news that she is showing signs of improvement but unless I missed it, no news as to what is actually going on?

Linda, you and all of the family are still in my thoughts and will continue to be so. I know it is difficult, but as sunflour suggested, do try and get some rest

Hey there, look at me home after just 11 hours! I feel like a lady of leisure this evening

Got my first paycheck of the season...80 hours of regular time and 39.5 hours of over time. Guess I managed to squeeze almost an extra week in there somehow, lol.

One more work related thing then on to more important stuff...we lost a pro shop employee today. Actually, it's a relief. This 19 year old would not stay off his cell phone, was routinely late, would not follow instructions and you almost had to prod him with a stick to do anything. Whew, I'm glad he's gone, no one needs his sort of aggravation. So not bad news at all (for us anyway).


Blooie, every little bitty sign of improvement is good news. The prayers, well wishes and caring thoughts will keep coming through for you and your family.

NFC also check out Craig's list to see if anyone is selling tools like the stolen ones. That's what a neighbor did when a neighbors son stole things from his garage. He found them on Craig's list and told the cops. a Policemen went as a buyer and arrested the kid.
