gastro-coincidence
Yep another Blooie original great word :)

Now the good news. I am getting liquids down far better this morning than I was. Before they pooled and then trickled down. Now they trickle but they DO go down without as much pooling first. Progress!!! I'll take it!!
That's nice to hear, hope before Memorial day is over you will be able to eat something. It is really bad to be hungry and cannot eat.
Have you tried a liquid antacid to see if it will stop the burning?

now if I can just remember them

Gee Sis, I cannot imagine why.....maybe all the stuff you have on your mind, physically and mentally exhausted and only a few hours sleep for months..:th

I didn't mean it they way it's being interpreted
Honestly I knew that's what you meant and I know what you mean. I really never wanted loads of friendly acquaintances. When I'm home I check in quite often to see what y'all are up to - in other words, I prefer to hang out around the chicken folks here - and this meets my basically recluse attitude :)
I do miss the friendly neighbors we had in the "old days" :old. Even if you weren't close, they were nice to have living around you and everyone knew everyone. Our 3 closest neighbors are nice people, and I am very thankful for that. But there are a lot of weirdos here as well.

I think the world if full:hmm too.

OHLD, have you recovered the fall? Hope so.
Oh yeah, I have almost forgotten about that. It took about 2 days before I went back to my usual aches and pains after my fall, that's what I get for bragging I hadn't fallen down in almost a year.

My chicks are doing well. I am expecting my turkey eggs to hatch this week and my 4 remaining barnevelder eggs, so a bit more snatching of poults and chicks this week I will have to watch myself. My turkey eggs are under a very crabby barnevelder hen, and my barnevelder eggs are under a nice frizzle bantam.

I used to think I was one of the weirdos, but I now realize I am more normal and sane than the rest of the world, go figure.

Me too :lau. Honestly I'd rather be "different" - who wants to be "normal".

Glad you are over the slip.
Do be more careful....wondering why do you have to snatch the hatchlings?
I have my bantams hatch everything, but they can only raise any bantams. My large breed chickens need to be homed to the big shed, bantams have their own coop, and turkeys can't be raised by chickens or with them or else they think they are chickens and are more prone to fight and kill chickens.

So I have my hens hatch, than I raise them. I didn't have enough bantams to cover my turkey eggs comfortably, so I am using a broody barnevelder, I'm still debating seeing if she wants any of the barnevelder if they hatch. Sometimes it's easier just to raise chicks than to deal with broody drama and all that comes with that.

It sounds complex but very interesting.
