I just hauled the bourke egg out of the incubator (with very wet hands) as I was getting worried. It's been 24 hours since it externally pipped. I could feel it tapping away inside and then it started eagerly chirping at me. So cute! I'll keep an eye on it (ie. hover anxiously over the incubator and get nothing done) but not sure how I would help peel off any of that shell if it needs help - the egg is so tiny and delicate!
