The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

She has to make first contact with a head bump, and then I can pet her. She even lets the Princess pet her upon occasion. If anyone approaches her, she still runs away.

Scaredy sounds like a lovely cat. Cats are so funny. One of our cats adores my husband. She's such a flirt with him! In the evenings she sits next to him on the arm of the couch and you can see her using her mental telepathy "PAT MEEEE". But she waits so patiently - he has to make the first move!

Here's another amazing cat:

Blooie, how are your Silkies doing these days?

Morning all!

Nicky, I hear you on the 'more free time in winter' thing. Everyone else around here is already dreading it, but not me! Cute video. How are all your critters, doing well I hope.

Sour, you have more b-ball games coming up?

Blooie, it would be fun to get up to Cowley but don't think I can drive fast enough to do it in an afternoon  What a nice comment from the FaceBook-er!

J, sounds like Squeak is appropriately named, lol.

Yesterday J and I drove over to Ft. Steele to take a look around. Not a lot left of the old fort but what they had was interesting.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Good morning, Debby. Baseball at 12:15 - team has already won their pool. Today's games will determine whether we go immediately to the semi finals. 1 & 2 ranked teams get a bye on the quarter finals. Right now we are the # 3 ranked team. Rank is determined by wins and points scored against team.

Morning Debby. Asheron is doing pretty good. But his age is caching up with him, same with my ten year old cat, Misty. So I'm cherishing what time is have left with them. Ember and Amber are both doing great, ornery as ever. My Silkie roos are thriving and my last hen is all alone, but she seems to be doing just fine. I tried introducing one of my silkies to her for some company.... nope! She likes flying solo, too set in her ways. I feel her there, lol!

Stupid. Yep, they are stoooo-opid!! But they are eye candy and the girls love them so they stick around. We had one that Ken was calling Dip you-finish-the-rest, but as of Friday the name has been changed to the Little Dipper - after Kendra repeated what Ken called it. Yeah.

Well, jeepers...I did it in one day. Of course, looking back, we didn't exactly have much time, did we? Oh, and I guess we only drove partway then spent the night in Riverton before leaving early the next morning to see you. Okay, never mind. :lau The lady who messaged me was Dorothy Wilkerson or something like that - when I asked her if I could pass along her praises she said to feel free - she said she tells you all the time! She also said you two have done an amazing job with the course and the club! Just thought you should know that you HAVE made a significant difference and folks don't mind telling others about it!

@JaeG Squeak is such a perfect name!!

Okay, everyone, get out there and make it a Sunday to remember! Ken and I are going to take the new car up the mountain today to see how it does. We have two trips to Cheyenne coming up - we leave tomorrow for a meeting Ken has on Tuesday and then Saturday we head back to Cheyenne for Wyoming's Grand Lodge. Would rather know how the RAV does before we decide whether to take that or the Tundra, which we already know handles 14-A well.

:lau whoops granddad! Yeah, that's Silkies for you. My Houdans are just as bad, one of them anyway. She often forgets to get up in the morning and I've found her multiple times stuck under the flipped over treat tray. She just hunkers down and waits to be rescued (or just thinks it's suddenly nighttime)!

Here are some chick photos. Squeak is down to a feed every 3 hours and boy can that chick eat! His crop is huge compared to a baby finch's. I got a photo of Pinkie's babies today. They are enormous and have pin feathers coming through. Three days makes a huge difference. Squeak's wings are starting to darken which means his feathers will be coming in soon too. He must be a week old today.

And here's a funny photo of the Javas who fledged right on 28 days like they should. Thor is starting to fly to us and he will climb up me to sit on my shoulder. He's going to be a big bird - Flash is more petite (that's her being sat on)!
