The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hey that's 6x12 feet more than me :D

With your work schedule ... where would you find time before the ground freezes?

Okay, then suppose I just help with the cooking and eating ?

Sure, beets will be ready in 50 days , Collards in a month or so. 12 plants will provide much more than we can handle :)

DH came up with a brilliant idea to keep me busy in the slow winter months...a food truck! One that serves breakfast to the refinery workers who change shifts at 3:30AM. Fortunately for me, the cost of a truck is out of the question. Whew, that was close.

:lau got lucky on that one, Debby. Has he considered a van serving 'pre' prepared food ?

His idea of pre prepared food is for me to prepare it...in my spare time don'tcha know...when I wasn't driving a big old food truck in the early a.m. in the winter. Or gassing it up. Or cleaning it up. Or shopping for supplies. Or doing anything else, like sleeping.

Does he want you to stay busy in retirement or just make more money?
I think you are busy enough

They say that busy people stay young. Or is that, 'they age rapidly'?

We've all seen those pictures of the pioneers that worked their behinds off and were wrinkled prunes by the time they were 40...so, I'm guessing "they age rapidly" is the correct answer.

Thanks Ron, I think so too! Even when the golf course isn't open, I'm very busy (busy just enjoying myself, lol). DH is younger than me and needs to work longer before he can think of retiring. Guess he thinks since he's working, I might as well too...crazy man.

Likely the same setup with my DW and me. I will retire last though. She wants to retire next year and will be 56 at the time. I will work until I am 60 and a half to get better monthly payments
