Still a little foggy in the upper region, but the coffee is kicking in.

Wish my coffee would kick in. Already had 2 big mugs and could still go back to bed. I goofed off all day yesterday though, so today is a "gotta get things done" kind of day.

Drinking that much coffee and in that cold of temps....ya will meet yourself coming and going in and out of the bathroom........if ya skip the coffee then ya could get an extra hour of pillow time and wouldn't wear yourself out running to the bathroom every 10 minutes.....

One does NOT have to "pay back" their lack of accomplishments for slacking on their birthday!!

It wasn't quite my intention to be doing this when I decided to get some birds, but I have to try and save the poor little things.

Here's a Rosella chick - they are funny looking things and huge compared to my tiddly finches. And they are loud! At least they are very eager to eat which makes my life easy (well, easier - they'll need feeding every couple of hours but I'll leave them for 5-6 hours overnight). Hopefully it's only for a few days and their siblings hurry up and hatch.View attachment 1181661

Better today. Yesterday I felt off. I might have been fighting something off. I am exposed to a lot of nasty illnesses here at the University. Usually I feel like this and then am fine.

We are at 45 today. Overcast , but at least not drizzling. Need to feed and water critters and maybe dig sweet potatoes.
