The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Yes, Sam's Club will give you a guest day pass free but, you will have 10% added to their prices. As I understand it, if you buy a Sam's membership card, and don't save more than the fee involved. You can cancel and have member fee returned to you.

Also if you go in with a friend/neighbor who has a Sam's card, they can purchase things you want. Then of course you reimburse them.

That's a good idea too. Thanks for all the info :)

Sadly I don't think we have a Sam's club here. We used to but then they got rid of it years ago, probably cause BJ's did better

Also if your Sam's has an indoor cafe, you can go in without a card by saying you are just coming for lunch or to fill prescriptions. I'm pretty sure you don't need to be a member to use their pharmacy. I mention lunch because our store has a BIG hot dog and pop combo (30 oz-refillable while in store) for $ 1.64 with tax. Hot Dog !!!!!!!

They also have slurpees, soft serve sundae's, big pretzels, pizza, sausage, cheese etc. I can't recall price because pizza is too much of a workout for my elderly teeth but, my brother loves their pizza and the ladies on the senior bus do also. Their combo includes the large pop or ice tea.

I ASSUME Costco still has the "non member can try it out but add 10%" thing as well. I know they did 23 years ago when they opened here. Wow, 23 years. I remember it because I was taking care of the now 24 Y/O daughter her second year and took her to Costco to check it out. Back then they didn't have scanners and I ended up paying more for a bag of Werther's (that I didn't buy) than the item I DID buy because the cashier missed one of the numbers read by the human reader. I decided not to join up then because they didn't open until 10 or 11 AM which happened to be EXACTLY when DD1 had her nap attacks. Didn't go back until the Cosamin DS need.

Sam's sounds a lot like Costco, maybe they are direct competitors in many places. You don't need to be a Costco member to buy prescriptions there either and yeah, cheap food. They only ask for your Costco card at the regular registers. But I can't do nitrates so no Costco hotdogs for me.

Wow, $1.64 for lunch is cheap...don't know of any place else you can eat out for that price.

Our nearest Costco is in Casper, about 2 hours (one way) away. Too far unless we have to go other places like Home Depot or such.

NFC do ya know Zazzle has 60% off all mugs today only (till 11:59pm Calif time). If you go back a little past that time - they will go into the Cyber Monday sale and announce how much off & what. It better be good because I have 2 gift cards at the ready and 60 % is not enough for me.
