The day is young and a certain little black cat is already in trouble. I had left my BYC cookbook on the coffee table last night, heard a tearing noise this morning and found Pip was shredding the cover We should have named her Shredder...she's terrible about ripping up anything paper.

That's kind of hard to do in this little old house...there's only 1 door in the entire house that actually shuts and that's the one to the basement where there are even more things for her to tear up.

Maybe I ought to just put her in a time out with the chickens. That door actually closes!

I think the chickens would scare the devil out of her.
Maybe a dog crate?

they are lovely - but I would fear placing them even close to the fireplace?



. We have run our A/C to be able to have a fire for Christmas.



. I recently crossed paths with a family from New Jersey, the 6 year old boy could not understand me at all nor could I understand a single word he said.

Thanks Debby! Spuds is a pain this morning. I’m thinking he needs a time out with the barn cats so he appreciates how incredibly spoiled he is.

I used to hang stockings on my mantle and had to move them every time we made a fire. We have also converted to gas logs - so much easier

Totally agree. We have a wood stove in the basement we use on really cold days.
