Not at this house, we are a "no cull except for medical reasons" establishment.
Of the seven 2012 girls that are gone, 1 found dead in the run of who knows what medical thing shy of 2 years, 2 were by fox (which shouldn't happen again since I now have better fencing), 2 by coon (the above applies EXCEPT the front gate is likely something a coon could scale so less confident), one from stroke or heart attacks (I THINK) and one I had to put down due to a horrible bloody prolapse (she would have died within a day or two at the most

). One 2015 girl dropped from fatty liver disease (determined by doing a necropsy) at 15 months.
But if we DID make soup, yep a few of those 2012 girls would be on the menu, specifically the non laying Favs and the super thin shell laying Ancona.
Enabler! And just WHO is feeding these chickens and cleaning the coop? Huh? Huh?
OK so until you get to a LOT of chickens a few more isn't really any more work.
