The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Honestly Teila, that is the way my family always treated me father, mother, brother & my son. My father was sitting on the sofa looking out the front picture window, watching me shovel snow. I was outside over an hour and a half.

When I came in I asked him "who shoveled the snow?" He said he didn't know. I really blew a gasket and told him he had been watching me shovel all that time. He just shrugged.

I have learned I don't need their recognition or gratitude (never coming) The surprise would probably kill me anyway.

Like my father: my brother....backed his car over several inches of snow on the front lawn - missing the entire cleared driveway I had finished the day before. Car wouldn't budge. First I tried digging it out 2 hrs. He tried it - no good. I rested up and did another 1 1/2 hrs.- tried again, no go. I told him I couldn't do anymore.

He said "I'll call triple A and they will get the car out." They did, yanking it out with a chain. I was so :rant:mad:I could have melted all that snow. I asked him what it cost. He said nothing because he is a AAA member. I asked why he didn't do that first, since it was a free service. He shrugged. See a pattern there?

So we made it back from picking up Gabbie about 2:30pm....just in time for tending to all the other animals, spend a little time letting Gabbie getting aquainted with the backyard and then final round lockups. Here Gabbie is after we got her and she settled down a bit... IMAG2853.jpg ....this is one taken a half mile from the house.... IMAG2857.jpg ...this one is in her area getting a bite of food and water.... IMAG2862.jpg ...then here she is playing in the leaves as she ventures around the yard... IMAG2864.jpg
