The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

We don't have gerbils here. They sound like interesting little animals.

I'm absorbing all this goat chat. I'd like a couple of dairy goats one day for milk. I've always loved goats. We don't have many breeds here but I love the Nubian ones for their floppy ears. Can't say the earless ones appeal to me!

It's so hot here - too hot to sleep so we are all a bit tired. The cats have found the coolest spots they can, the dog is flat out!

Our son is desperate to open the present that's for him from his sister under the Christmas tree (thankfully I haven't put them all under there yet). Only 8 sleeps to go!

They really are! The stand on their hind legs and look so cute and they seem pretty interactive. Now i definitely want them hah just debating if I should sell or keep the fish because they are in the perfect spot for a gerbil cage

And awwww

I just looked up some photos of gerbils - I've only seen a drawing of one in a picture book the kids have. They are very cute! Much cuter than a mouse or rat, or even a hamster (we don't have those either).

(but maybe that means I missed a perfect opportunity to give you a hard time?).
You missed a good opportunity to give me a hard time. :p

Although maybe it's a sign your cattle need a vacation? :lau

Maybe a nice Caribbean island or even just to Texas or Florida or something. Somewhere where they can dip their hooves into the ocean/salt water for that sea salt foot bath & pedicure and soak up some rays :p :gig
I really think they're too spoiled to need a vacation. :gig I'm sure I could secure some type of cattle footbath if they REALLY feel the need to soak their hooves in salt water.

However, I'd settle for a maid, a housecleaner...even a wife if she can handle the house. I'm not asking for much, am I?

I'd have more time on here. It's a win-win! :lau

:pop
What problems did it cause?
I just felt that from the start of me trying to catch up from the oldest posts and working through to the newest posts...it made a mess of the order of the incoming posts. I thought I could get them done in a day. I have to laugh at that. :lau
I was curious too but didn't wanna ask lol
Oh gosh, never be afraid to ask a question...at least from me. The very worst I could do is be angry and chew your head off.

(I'm SO teasing you.:)) I would never be angry or chew your head off if you asked a question. If you ever have a question, ask away. I've found that in this life if you don't ask, you'll never know. ;)

I was over there this morning - didn't see a train wreck.
Whew! That's a good thing. :yesss: I worked all night to catch up so the old posts wouldn't be interjecting amongst the newer incoming posts.:gig

I saw a lot of post by Wicked but no problems. If I have not greeted someone, The link is black. When I have greeted someone, the link is grey.

I was very happy to see the posts from Wicked!
Maybe I'm a bit too particular. :gig

I don't like to upset the balance and the order of the new introduction posts coming in. I like to see the new posts filter in as they're created. I don't want anyone to have to go looking for them.

Thanks Ron for your kind words. I'll pass the torch back to Kiki when she gets back. But maybe I'll join in to welcome on my own afterwards. We'll see. :D

They really are adorable! And i like the furry tails. I eventually want rats too but i domt know if i could do the tails. Plus they mark with pee when they walk so i hear. Sometimes just a few drops, sometimes a lot. But they are incredibly intelligent and can learn a lot of tricks and get super attached to their owners like dogs.

You missed a good opportunity to give me a hard time. :p

It would have to be one BIG foot bath!

Hey, maybe all us BYC people should take that vacation instead! I could use the warmth :lau

And hey, if you find a good maid let me know

I'm all good woth significant others though. Relationships are annoying and I don't need one :lau

Now i would argue a teddy bear hamster is cuter than any gerbil!

They are sooo cute

Thats true! Thank you :)

Online shopping for DH is done. I just went ahead and ordered something else he mentioned way back when. It won't get here on time but at least it can be delivered to our house.

I need to go to town for baking supplies tomorrow and I'll pop in to the hardware store to see if I can find something there so he'll have at least one present under the tree.

Sheesh, I think I sweat over this stuff more than he probably does.
