Suggestion? Rather than Locks of Love, why not see if you can donate to Pantene? We learned when Ashley lost all of her hair that Locks of Love is charging patients for their wigs now.
Well ain't that just a kick in the arse!

I had a cookbook called, "Cooking the Sportsman's Harvest." Everything in there from racoons to snakes. Um, I'll take chislic 'n beer or pig cheeks any day, thanks.
Perhaps squirrel cheeks are equally good! ;)

Edited: On the floor mopping video, do you hear that "thump" at the beginning? That's her foot hitting the floor that hard. Stocking feet, and she doesn't even feel it! Jen said she stood in a clump of snow that came off Kenny's boots yesterday and didn't even notice that it was melting under her feet and that her socks were freezing cold and wet. :hmm
You aren't real surprised since she has no feeling below the waist, right?? For sure gotta make she she doesn't freeze of any part of the lower body.
:love

Although fried snacks are actually pretty common. At all the fairs now they have food trucks with that stuff.
Just because someone makes it doesn't mean we have to eat it :) I skip all the fried stuff that shouldn't be fried.

mountain oysters
Those would be the NZ equivalent of US Rocky Mountain Oysters??

baby octopus
DD2 spent a semester in Japan. She ordered a tacoyaki pan from Amazon this past summer. If you don't want to look it up, it is basically battered octopus, fried or baked.

Of course calamari is fairly popular as well. Again, it is all about what you are used to ... or willing to try. I'm surprised DD even tried the tacoyaki (which I have not had) given she pretty much doesn't try anything she hasn't had before because she knows she won't like it because she hasn't had it before. How is that for logic??

Katie loves Rocky Mountain Oysters - orders them anytime they appear on a menu. “Yes, Gramma, I do know what they are....they come from slow running bulls. The fast ones get to keep theirs.” <groan>
She is her grandma's grand daughter!!

Only difference is ours are lamb testicles. I still think I'd choose them over the huhu grubs!
Very similar to the witchetty grub in Oz. Of course I know about these only from watching Survivor challenges, eaten live. Not something I would put first on my menu either! They might be one of the things a person would want to bread and fry to hide it's true nature.
