The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

That was a really lovely surprise to wake up to after an awful nights sleep. The wind has howled all night here and the cockatiels decided to have a night fright at 1.45am. The power was out so I had to turn on my cellphone flashlight to try and calm them down. After ages they settled, so I went back to bed but I kept hearing a sound like a door banging shut. So got up to investigate. DH's shed doors had worked their way open and were flapping about in the wind. So with that sorted it was back to bed. Then I was nodding off, dreaming of weird things (as you do - pearl patterned mallard ducks stuck in the ceiling:confused:) when the cockatiels decided to start up again. Thankfully the power was back on and I could just turn on a light and get back to bed. :th I feel just like that this morning.

I'm in fabulous company it seems - congrats to @CapricornFarm, @rjohns39 and @DigMyChicks too!

Yep, might as well get something if he plans to go earlier than expected ;)

Mine has a metal spiral cord cover.
Dare I ask where you have this plugged in? Sounds like it is outdoors. Is it plugged into a properly covered outlet, the plastic kind that is MEANT to enclose the plug, not the "outdoor outlet" with a flap that covers the outlet when it is NOT in use?

@Teila - Maybe you could Google swollen leg and foot causes, find a good site and leave it up where he can see it. Maybe he can decide for himself he has a problem when you aren't there to watch him. Won't be fun if he ends up losing his foot or something.

Oh yeah, mine has one of those too
Sorry, i meant the connection cover thingies you can out over the connections, wasn't sure what those were called. But yes it's outside. It's connected to an extension cord. But the extension cord is plugged in inside the garage and run out through a window so that's protected no problem. But I was just a bit concerned about where the bowl plugs in.

Although it survived rain perfectly fine.

But with the storm I can't run out.

I do have one somewhere but then it got left outside and wet and I thought ruined but it's plastic so I'm sure will dry out. But it either got thrown out or thrown in the garage and it might take me forever to find it
