The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Thats what she said. I ran out the door. My mom had them several times and she was miserable.
Were you vaccinated for chickenpox? If not and you are 50, there is a new vaccine for shingles. All of us in that age group(over 35) are supposed to get the new vaccine.

BTW, you could have had a mild case of chicken pox that did not show symptoms.

It is on my list to get myself vaccinated soon

I’m 48 and have not been vaccinated. Last shot I had was an MMR as I did not test immune when I was in the hospital with second child. That sucker hurt, no wonder babies cry.

@Blooie glad you were able to get the girl's rooms fixed up. As for the house problems, guess Kenny & Jenny can learn to fix them, pay someone to fix them or learn to live with them. And that's all I have to say about all that :duc Tell your FitBit to stow it and have a restful evening!

@Teila whoot! An air cooler sounds like the perfect thing with your weather, enjoy!

@DigMyChicks enjoy that shiny new badge!

DH has been under the weather all day. I've been trying to keep at least 1 room's distance from him all day to avoid his cooties. Even the cats aren't hanging out with him :p

Hope he perks up soon, I was sick over 2 weeks around Christmas, took 2 rounds of antibiotics and a really big needled shot to recover.

I have never had chicken pox and I’ve heard you can get them if your exposed to someone with shingles. One of the people I clean for had weeping shingles the other day and out the door I went...there was no going in the next room to avoid the cooties:barnie

You cannot get chicken pox from one with shingles - just make sure the one with the outbreak has those areas covered. I'm worried our young folks will eventually get chicken pox when they are too old to handle it...like the past problem we had with inadequate/incorrect timing of the measles vaccine :barnie

ON a brighter note, a neighbor won the best Christmas Decorations in our state. (don't know them, just live really close by). But did do a drive thru to see the lights this year. We could hear their music every night from Thanksgiving til after Dec 25th :)
