The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Blooie, doctors shouldn't charge for " getting a baseline." Lab tests cost $$$ as it is.
I think that's just a reassurance sentence, Diva. What he's really saying is, "I'm really worried that we are looking at ______________, so we need to get these tests done. But I don't want you to make yourself sicker by worrying too, so I'll just reassure you by telling you that." :lau

50 sounds good, hope it works out that you can finish soon.

I've been meaning to ask you...do you work with polymer clay? Trying to decide if that's something I want to try, so if you do, any info you can share would be appreciated.
Any kind of clay is fun! Get one of those pasta makers to condition the clay, much faster.

We've got stormy weather coming. It's dark as anything here because of the cloud cover. It's supposed to start raining soon which will stick around for a couple of days, and it's really windy. I wouldn't mind so much if it was going to cool off but it's not going to be that kind.

Can't wait to see your polymer clay creations @sunflour - I've done some with the kids and it's fun. It's quite expensive here though. I'm not sure where I've put it all though and the kids keep asking to make new things!

My Button quail haven't hatched yet in the aviary but the little hen was sitting tight all of yesterday so they must be close. Hopefully none hatched in the night and wandered off in the dark!

You need rain so that's a good thing, right J? Hope you don't lose power with all the wind.

And like @Blooie said...we'll need baby pictures!

I hope you'll post shots of those babies as they start running around the floor of the aviary! They are so stinkin' cute!

Camera is charged and at the ready, though I'll probably need the flash in this weather. They are very tiny and oh, so cute!

Yes, we need rain - could do without the wind though. It won't be the wind that knocks the power out, rather someone 'forgetting' how to drive in 'not ideal' conditions and going straight into a power pole! :barnie

the first rain after a long dry spell is especially bad because of the oil that falls off of cars. There will be a lot of slick spots at first.

Where I lived in north FL, it was the squirrels that used to blow out the transformers. You know it's not a great place to live when the squirrels are electrocuting themselves :gig
