Today has not been quite so busy but still 79 tickets in the last 24 hours and 12 of those we were not working
So, I had my lunch time chat with the mental health dude and the good news, I am not crazy!
The bad news, no magic wand to help me deal with the stressors but more that I need to start sticking up for myself. Not get angry but also not have to do things I do not want to, include eating zapped, unhealthy dinners. So, when a dinner is on the cards that I do not want to eat, simply mention I do not want to eat it and make myself something. Or, if I want the air conditioner on, turn it on. If FIL reacts badly that is "not [my] your problem" apparently
Wish me luck! He is going to ring me in a week to see what changes I have made![]()

They are all safely inside at the moment and the last egg, that's the slow poke, is currently residing in my bra (sorry guys). With the current weather it's more than warm and humid enough in there! It's pipped and cheeping and tapping away so hopefully it will pop out soon. It's got 4 1/2 hours until my bedtime so it had better not take too long. I'll be interested to see what colour it is - so far we have one wild, one silver, one cinnamon, and one unusual one.

Hey Blooie I kind of hear ya on the “getting a base line”. One of my FIGJAM yuppie bosses thinks he sounds cool and corporate throwing these around the place .. just sounds like a jerk to me!
Not tearing down silos.

I'm sorta proud of myself, when the alarm went off instead of going back to bed, I got up!! I put the garbage out for pick up, shoveled some snow, posted on BYC in the morning for a change. Brought the empty garbage containers back to the driveway. Wow! Hoping I can make a habit out of not going back to sleep and actually doing something. Maybe tomorrow will tackle the dishes filling up the kitchen sink. BTW it's a shallow sink, so doesn't take much to fill it.
