And if you don't have the flu, a concert is a good place to GET it!

I sent an email Tuesday to the people who live next to my old house to say I would bring eggs on Thursday. The reply was "Sure, that would be great! Been missin’ those yummy eggs. We have the flu so when you drop off the eyes, knock & run. Haha"

Not wanting to get near the flu, and already having NOT gone to the farm show specifically because I didn't want to chance it, I pulled a chair on their front porch over to the door, put the eggs on it knocked and started to leave. He came to the door and wanted to pay me, I said NO THANKS I'll put it on your "bill", don't want flu tainted money. Seems they went to a concert a short while back and yes, that is where they got the flu.

Aw come on @N F C You KNOW that Phil doesn't predict the weather for those of us farther north. Shadow or not, spring won't be here for six more weeks. And around here, better figure 10. Official "Spring" here is only an entry on the calendar around the 20th of March.

And around here "spring" is about the middle/end of April. Not sure what market Phil is targeting, but it's not here!

Kdog IF it turns out to be flu, you will be passing it along to huge numbers of folks at the concert. At 70 I don't get excited about concerts I did at 16 over the Beatles but didn't have the flu. Just ended up totally hoarse from screaming so much.

DD, you saw the Beatles live???? Oh man, I would have loved that (at least back in the day)!

Today has felt positively chilly compared to the previous weather we've been having. It was only 63.5F (17.5C) this morning until about midday! We went out shopping and had to buy our DD a cardigan because she was cold. It's crept up to 67.5 this afternoon. We might all get a good nights sleep tonight (bit of a vain hope in this house I think )!

Good Morning Friends :hugs

Thank you for all the likes on the catio, I am thrilled with it. Also, the added bonus of cutting down the amount of afternoon sunlight which gets in to the lounge room; I definitely noticed the difference last night in the temperature. Now we just have to do the hooman side of the deck also.

Hope you feel better soon KD!

Same old, same old today .. predicted maximum of 93F with a high chance of a small amount of rain and a tropical storm.

So, hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to mow I go! Plus killing some weeds and cleaning the coop etc etc

Thanks!

Hmmm.... both good points. I went off all night/afternoon from around 430 to 830 and i think that made me feel better or something cause though i was iffy this morning, i feel fine now!

I had not thought about possibly GETTING the flu though.... good point... :/

But it's a good show I don't want to miss so ehh.

And this a small only 500 capacity venue.

Same

When I was very young, I saw the Beatles live....on the Ed Sullivan show!

:gig

Lol

Good Afternoon Friends :hugs

Aaaw gees Jae, I am jealous of those temps! Still sweltering here at 3PM with 88F and 70% humadity

Just finished another big day in the garden, mowing, pruning, weeding and cleaning the coop.

Scored myself a potted Lilly Pilly from our Community Sale Site! Because they had a few deliveries in the village, they even delivered it the 15mins drive for me! [Good thing because I had no way of getting it here] $50 all up. It needs some TLC and was very thirsty but I have already put some mulch in the pot to stop it loosing water and given it a drink of 'Thrive'. Once it recovers a little, I will prune it back to hopefully thicken it out. This is the corner I cleared out the other weekend and I will be surrounding Lilly with a purple and green ground cover:

YES, I saw the Beatles live - I guess. I mean we got seated about the 2,000 the. row back (Comisky (?) Park baseball stadium). You could see little ant people way down on stage and monitors were set up all over and loud speakers. Of course all the females were screaming - maybe some guys, have no idea.

It sounded like the Beatles and on the monitors it looked like them. Good enough, though could have been smoke and mirrors.

Here too. It can’t come soon enough!
Actually upon Googling it is 575 or 550 depending what article you look at haha but yeah, still small
That’s all it takes is 1 sick person:(
