I finally helped my little quail hatch - its membrane, despite being well oiled, was getting tighter and I could see it was breathing more shallowly. It was only just ready to come though as I hit a tiny bit of blood as I helped before it pushed itself free. When its wing peeled back from its face and that big eye looked at me my heart melted! I was worried for a minute it had curled toes but they are fine. You'll have to wait for a photo though as my camera battery ran out before it had downloaded the photos! :barnie

Just got an update on Castor from my sister .........

Just got home from work and visiting Castor. There is a slight improvement in him, not as much as I would like, but at least it is an improvement. He was eating some food out of my hand and he knew I was there and he smelt the blankets I bought from home.

:love Keep thinking positively!! You never know! :fl :fl

Do you think that lady's dogs were 'puppy mill' puppies perhaps? I know those poor things can be kept in such filthy conditions that you don't have a hope of training them to toilet properly. I'd be keeping them in a crate indoors and making sure they had a secured run outdoors they could go in. Our dog stays on her bed unless we tell her to get off inside. I couldn't cope with the dog hair everywhere otherwise! Some days she leaves a trail!
I know one was a rescue, not sure on the other 2. They are poodles so they don’t shed thank goodness. I would quit!
Awwwwe! Very photogenic already!

They do go outside for a limited time and then come in and pee. Last time I was there I saw one lift his leg and pee on a basket of clean laundry, couldn’t believe it.
:smackPerhaps the department of health needs to make a visit.

I was not joking when I mentioned that my first night here I sat on the camp bed and cried, trying to work out where I was going to book a flight to and set up home on my own!
I suppose you had seen the place before you moved in. But the reality doesn't set in until you realize you will really will be staying 'forever' :( Good thing you didn't have a stressful job, that would have made it worse ;)

You are a strong person @Teila!

I charged them $20 an hour, thought the banker was going to stroke out. I should have charged double that.
Or even more until the banker was seriously considering doing it him/her self.

I just mean like I don't get how he lives with dead lizards..
They make great pets, you don't have to feed or clean up after them. Kinda like a Pet Rock ®
