The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I have been greeting quite a bit lately and have notices a big increase in new members for sure!

And a lot more greeters right now too. In years past, there weren't that many new members until closer to spring and way fewer greeters.

you folks ever feel a bit overwhelmed after missing a couple days on BYC? I don't think I'll ever get caught up with the new folks I've missed.
You mean you are allowed to miss days? Do you still get paid?:gig

It's funny, I went back to my intro and debby was first to greet me and of the greeters I know, DD and Ken were there too. That feels like a lifetime ago.

Aw, that's so cool! :thumbsup

Hey, in August, you'll have been here 3 years! Not quite a lifetime, but a good amount of time for sure.

And @DigMyChicks I just noticed that you'll be here 3 years in April!

@Teila do you ever think of going on strike? It will either make them realize how much you really do, or worse case scenario, will give you a ton of stuff to catch up on.

Yes, I have, many times. BUT the difference is that they do not appear to care that the toilet is disgusting or dried bits of yuk are on the kitchen benches. Evidenced by what the place looked like when I got here. Going on strike just means that I have sunk to their level and am happy to live like that, which I am not and yeah, it would just mean more work for me when I came off strike :p

I too have noticed an increase in the number of Greets but I also enjoy doing them; it is nice to read some of the intros and the excitement you can feel when people are new to getting chickens :love

I've always enjoyed doing the greets too. There's a lot I don't know about (and every day I find out more of what I don't know about, lol) but just saying hello to someone is important. And it is interesting to find out how they found their way here.

Total surprise to me but I've often found that I can offer a tidbit of advice and that's kind of cool. But I too enjoy the energy and how they got here.

Two Crows said that I am up for a greeter badge next cycle. If I get one, I will have all the badges. I would be the fifth person on BYC with all 5--That counts the project manager badge I think
