The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I have tinnitus also. In my 30's I was hearing crickets a lot, then it dawned on me that it was the middle of winter. I can ignore it usually but when the house is very quiet (no heat or air conditioning on) it can get so loud I can't sleep unless I put something on even just the boring weather channel. When I wake up several hours later, I realize it did help me sleep.

What a beautiful puppy!!

Thanks! They love her and I'm sure I will too. I love the socks lol she has a lot more white than Gator.

Same here though by now I can usually ignore the regular tinnitus. Then come the 1 or 2 octave jumps and increased volume spikes. No idea why but they get my attention.

What, no badge for "resident encyclopedia"??

I'm sure they make plenty of profit or they wouldn't be doing it.

That's true. I guess I was just naive and thought they did it for the good of the animals lol

My goodness that Liberty is a gorgeous bundle of cuteness!

I've commented on the odd new member threads but I feel so guilty that I don't comment on each and every one.

I peeked in the incubator thinking the first Button might have hatched by now only to find an enormous baby staring back at me! I'd put a few Coturnix eggs in there and only one from the first lot developed so I did add a few more eggs, 2 of which have developed, so it won't be alone. This first baby wasn't due to hatch for 2 more days! It's been named Colossus. I'll post photos when the kids are off the computer! It'll be funny seeing it next to the Button chicks when they decide to join the party!

Isn't she!?

I hope Colossus won't terrorize any tiny birds.

Looking at the way he's snuggling into my hands I think he'll be trying to snuggle under the smaller babies! He's very cuddly and yells if I put him down. Not sure he's drying as quickly as he should cuddled up to me - this humidity is killing me!

Libby is absolutely adorable K!!! I can tell you're a proud auntie.

You have my most heartfelt sympathy @Teila . I'm in a similar situation, but it's due to physical limitations, not computer addiction. I know I get really frustrated, so I can only imagine what you must feel.

Thank you! I definitely am haha

Here's our new baby compared to a 4 and a 5 day old Button quail:

No new Buttons have hatched yet but a few are working on it.
