Yes, the four I've got in my gallery are staying. I'm really pleased that one of the boys we are keeping has turned into a huge cuddle bug (once he's done showing off to everyone else that is). He never used to let me even touch him but today he was asking for a cheek scratch and a head rub.

I will actually be quite glad when the younger ones have all sold as most (maybe all) are boys who are just starting to get hormones kicking in, so our two girls end up getting harassed constantly (they aren't the least bit impressed or interested quite frankly). Our two boys also don't like the one yellow male that's still waiting to find a home, so that makes having them all out fun. I think ours will enjoy having us all to themselves as well. My one that was squashed as a chick really just wants to hang out on my shoulder and be left alone, but that's a bit hard with 8 birds in total, most of them trying to one up each other (as adolescent boys do)!

Flying ants, funny birds, cold that's moving UP to freezing...finally caught up!

Spent quite a bit of time on the phone yesterday setting up our hotel/motel lodging for our trip. It's starting to seem real now! My DS will be here Wednesday, he's going to take care of things while we're gone (it will be fun to hear how this city kid does out here in the boondocks ).

Flying ants, funny birds, cold that's moving UP to freezing...finally caught up!

We'll be gone 9-10 days. We're going to see parts of Utah, Arizona and Colorado. This will be a really new thing to DH as he's never been to the SW. These are areas of the country my parents always took our family to on summer vacations but I haven't been back for years. I'll take lots of pictures and bore you all silly with them when I get back
