The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Ok, here's a little cutie to cheer everyone up, temporarily at least:

His back end looks like a wild/pharaoh, but his head is most definitely rosetta coloured, plus he's going to be a tuxedo (not sure how much white though). Bizarre! I should call him (could be her) Chimera.

How are your quail eggs doing Cap? Any luck with them?

I'm so looking forward to getting my stolen hour back on 1st April! I hate daylight 'savings'.

There should be a sleepy emoji. It's just after 6am here and I'm so tired. Hopefully some breakfast will help, at least temporarily.
Way cute! I love him! I think my eggs are doing well. I candled some last night and they are quite opaque so i am taking that as a good sign . Lock down is the 18th and they are supposed to hatch on the 20th, the day i hope to get my biopsy done. I am thinking i might get lucky and have them hatch early so i can watch. But if they do not hatch, at least i have live quail coming! Thanks for thinking of me. I am building a feeder for them and considering horozontal water nipples like i use for the rabbits for my quail.

And here's another sleepy smilie for you:

:highfive:

Save the tired smiley in your smiley folder.

How do I do that? (I'm not very tech savvy).

That would be lovely to come home to if they do hatch on the 20th. They really are the sweetest babies and a lot cuddlier than the Buttons.

Yes, they definitely need a waterer that they can't knock over, or fill up with crud. I've been using the little ones that you'd use on a bird cage with the little well that sticks in through the bars so it's elevated but I'd like to set up a watering system with the nipples.

I have a folder on drop box called chicken smileys. You can save it anywhere though. On the PC, alternate click and then click on save as.

Android and ios devices have different ways of saving images.

After they are saved to the folder, I insert the into posts using upload a file

I just use the little quail waterer that attaches to a jar at first, set on a small piece of 2x4. Then add shavings so they can reach it. I generally put marbles in it to start with.

Beautiful pictures NFC!

Hope the lump is a false alarm Cap!

We lost power again. But my friend and my brother still have it so idk.

It snowed late last night/very early this morning and is a heavy, wet snow and slightly windy so that's probably why.

We have several trees bent over from the weight of the snow but I don't think we have lost any yet
