I have been trying to fix things up around here that need fixing. So feeding and watering is easier. I may go to Altavista for some waterers and to get out of the house. It is a lovely day! 60s i would say, and sunshine.

It’s not the prizes...part of it is BYC’s policy on kids using the forum. In order to collect a prize, they have to release their personal information, a huge no-no.

Ohhh that makes sense. I didn't realize you had to release your personal information! Not sure I'd want to do that either and I'm way over 18!

DH is 55 today. Doesn't seem that bad to me (I'm older than him) but he's already whining about what an old man he is I keep telling him it's only going to get worse (bad of me I know, lol) and that he's lucky to have made it this far. No sympathy for him here

My dad is in his 60s and my grandparents (mom's parents) are like 80s and my moms friend is turning 70 this year, I forget when exactly, I think his birthday is this week.

These have 2 inch plastic balls inside of them; the plushies are identical, they just have fiber fill inside instead. I sold some at the feed store at Christmas, and was asked if I could come up with a sewn version. . . Still working on that.

Keep us posted, Cap. They might surprise you. If not, it’ll be interesting to see what the shipper saysand does about it, but the issue is most likely going to be with the postal service. My chicks were shipped on a Monday, sat on the loading dock overnight in Casper on Wednesday, and not received here until Thursday. It was -17. Yep, 17 degrees below zero. Lost a couple, and our postmistress said that express shipping guarantees go out the window with day old chicks. Says the same thing on the the My Pet Chicken website. I’m sorry this is happening.

My shipper has already refunded my money. I am sick over it, and this is not the first time this has happened. She sent ducklings to Twisted Acres Farm, a lot of them. They all died. It must happen a lot.

That's heartbreaking. In NZ we have pet couriers who do a monthly run up and down the country, stopping in certain places to pick up and drop off animals. I know the US is enormous but it's a shame a better system can't be organised than just sending babies through the post.

Especially when they don't seem to care if they arrive alive, dead, or at all! It is horrible!

Cap so very sorry for you & poor babies I wonder if someone intercepts the packages and decides they want to keep them for own use or resell. After hearing the news on line and in Newspapers, nothing surprises me. Crooks use more brain power to accumulate "goods," illegally, than it would take to have/keep. an honest job.

Someone I used to know said an acquaintance of ours worked more hours to be dishonest than he did earning money the honest way. Unfortunately, some people are just like that.

Bunny, those are absolutely cute! Have you ever tried selling them on the buy-sell-trade forum under the "everything else" section? Bet there would be a lot of buyers for them!
