The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I love to shop whether for someone else or for me. I'm the hunter in my family checking for bargains and getting to them before someone else does.;):yesss:

My mom loves finding bargains! She's really good at it too haha she also loves going to Saver's and thrift shops, junk shops, etc. And she goes to our town dump and finds lots of stuff.

And she's very good at finding great deals on vacations and eBay and is a good Googler haha

My mother is a born shopper too. She sees it as a form of entertainment and will spend hours (and hours and hours) doing it. Dad used to get mad at her for all the money she spent and her reply was always "look at how much I saved".

I think my hate of shopping is a result of growing up in a divided household (shopper vs. saver).

I'll do it when I have to but I do not enjoy it (there's only one exception, put me in a kitchen or restaurant supply store and I'll check out everything ).

My Dad is like that! Can't resist a 'bargain' despite the product being unnecessary or not useful to anyone.

Exactly! I don't get it. It's like gamblers that spend $100 to win $5, then they're all excited about "winning".

Mom once found a sale on leather women's purses. She bought 9 of them! Then tried to give them away to all us females in the family, because they were such a "bargain". :idunno

KD I a good friend of mine got into deep trouble with his DW.... He and his 4 year old son went shopping. In, got what was needed and out.... The inquisitive 4 yr old wanted to know why it was so quick??? So on a whim, Pat said that's the difference between "boy shopping" and "girls shopping." Now we all know that 4 year olds are like tape recorders... So a few weeks go by and mom asks the 4 yr old if he wants to go shopping. 4 yr old responds "only if we're doing "boy" shopping." Pat was in the dog house for weeks....
Priceless...out of the mouths of babes!
