The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Tee hee Blooie!

One last picture .. yes, the shade cloth on the catio still has to go; hubby is not quite as motivated as I am apparently ;)

With the full drop shade cloth on the left [behind which is my tree fern] the plan is to actually lift that up and out over the ponds like a canopy on support poles; so rather than shade cloth being the background, the background will be my 'under house' plants; if that makes sense. They will still be protected from the sun by the shade cloth but more open.

Wait is that really a thing!? LOL

Thanks! So I should vacuum again a few days after or change the filter? Isn't that a waste of a filter? I should check it though ha

I was rinsing the black pad. The white part i just toss.

Sounds miserable!

Reminds me of the time it took us like 9 hours to go 4 hours lol and I got carsick within like the first few minutes cause i used my phone right away. And we had to keep stopping cause I'd get sick every time we moved. Finally at this one stop I finally hurled and everyone else got subs at Subway and I saved mine for later ha also it was the longest drive because all I wanted to do was GET OUT OF THE FREAKING CAR but we couldn't stop a million times or stop early cause we had to get to the destination. Also my brother happened to be drunk that same trip before we even picked him up (from his frat on the way out) so he was passed out in the backseat the first few hours. I think there was also a big argument at some point where someone got out of the car when we were trying to go to dinner. It was an interesting trip :lau
Look up Catholic guilt!

Lots of Irish in my Family LOL

It is a term used to describe the significant internal reaction to a seemingly insignificant external effect generated by a publicly unnoticeable perturbing cause.

Huh, my mom grew up Catholic and I think a few of my aunts and uncles and my nana and cousins still are.

But I figured with her it was just like ADD or something and not doing stuff before then doing it all at once. Cause she doesn't really do a lot of it to begin with.

But ya

I never grew up Catholic or anything though now I'm somewhat kinda Christian on my own but it's funny you mention the guilt thing cause my mom actually apparently chose not to raise us Catholic cause she grew up Catholic and didn't like all the punishment/guilt based stuff in it haha

Lots of Irish Catholics here too haha

Aaaw, thanks Deb, it is a labour of love! ;)

Yep, we are getting closer to winter so temps not so high and more importantly, not so humid.

I have been chipping away at the palms on the other side of the gate after work and got two and a bit done. It is amazing how much more roomy it makes the garden look; less jungle, more garden! Also, less undergrowth and shady thickness for the mosquitoes to hide in :p This section is behind the girls so they will also probably be more appreciative of a bit more light coming through and less mosquitoes.

Also, just wanted to share one of one of the ponds .. I am really pleased with how they are going :clap It took quite some time to get the set up right but looks like it was worth it .. the water is so clear! Lots of little guppies everywhere! :love
