If you let quail out, you will not see them again. We have Bobwhites here, you rarely see them until they fly.
The only way I have been able to keep any quail around when I released them, is to keep some in a pen. They come back to the pen to socialize with the "jail birds" :lau but seriously, that's the only way I have had any luck with them hanging round. Usually a predator will get them before to long. :barnie

Yes, always building something or planning to. I am trying to build a turning rack for my DIY incubator. I am building a lean-to for the rabbits but need lifting help. Hubbys back is bad. I have a feed box planned with metal flashing on it to keep mice out. And i have 13 acres to fence..

I should have known there would be a list! Sounds like you have your summer plans.
 
Sean, with all the quail and pheasants you have, what do you do with all their eggs? Do you hatch them, sell them, eat them?
I hatch most and give the rest away to peeps I know that what to raise them (not the rare or expensive ones):lau I've got 312 eggs in the bator now! :barnieneed more pens!
