You are supposed to plant them in the fall, but i still have some i need to plant. They should still come up because they are out in the workshop and its mostly unheated.I won't cheat either. And I don't think we have any daffodils this year :/
When do you plant them?
Interesting!
Lol
I think I might be able to beat that: we have a KFC a few minutes down the street. We also have a McDonald's like 2 mins away. We used to have a Burger King across from the KFC but they closed recently. Also have a Wendy's like 15 mins away. Lots of stores too.
Ohhh that's awesome! And orange and black, Halloween colors yearround lol
X2
Nice!
Oh, I forgot to copy this from my computer and post it! Sorry for those of you still in suspense....
The Order of the Knights Templar was a very powerful group of men, unique in character and once considered the world’s bankers. They were fighters of unparalleled skill, stealthy when required, and had amassed and manned world’s largest fleet of ships. By depositing funds with them, a person could travel to any country and, with just a scrip, withdraw those funds or even secure loans. The Templars’ coffers were full of gold, coin, and other riches, and the Knights were respected across the known world. They were formidable knights in more than the monetary sense - they had a strict code of chivalry that even extended to the behavior and appearances of their horses. They took several vows, among them chastity. Their hierarchy within the Order was absolute. They were fierce fighters when called to battle. Even a single knight behaving in any manner other than nobly was a sacrilege and a grave insult to the entire Order.
King Phillip of France had borrowed huge amounts of money and treasure, but balked at repaying it, and additionally had set his sights on confiscating all of the wealth of the Templars. To assist him in his refusal he enlisted the aide of Pope Clement V, who issued a papal bull and had all Knights Templar excommunicated. They then set out to destroy every trace of them. The night they unleashed the reign of terror happened to be on a Friday the 13th. Few escaped his vengeance. It was once thought that the entire Order died out, at least the king believed so, but in truth it never did. Many of the survivors or those who escaped made their way to Scotland, among other places. And their suspicion of the bad luck of Friday the 13th traveled with them and spread. It wasn’t long before they realized that with so few of them left, there would soon be no one to keep the Order going unless they revoked the vow of chastity and permitted marriage. They passed the history and secrets of the order to their sons, but only those whom they considered trustworthy and honorable. Just because a man was a Templar’s son wasn’t enough to merit admittance. The tradition of avoiding activities on Friday the 13, whether out of superstition or respect for those killed, became widespread beyond the Order.
In Scotland they were called upon to fight at the request of Robert the Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn against the English, where they lived up to their reputation. After that battle, Robert the Bruce honored them with “The Royal Order Of Scotland Rosy Cross” a proud band of men who earned the royal title and their official patents of Royal Knighthood, and who held them dear. They were all Knights Templar, but not all Knights Templar were members of that illustrious few who hold Royal Order of Scotland patents. Those are granted by strict invitation only, with final approval from Scotland. They are still the same, Bruce’s patents of knighthood, and a limited number are conferred worldwide each year. My dear Ken is one of them, I’m proud to say. He is Sir Ken Lastnamehere. Ken received his invitation, his approval, and his patent from Edinburgh in 2002. Rumors, books, TV shows and movies are crammed with theories and treasures associated with the Knights Templar. I’m here to tell you that the rumors are true....Knights Templars do hold treasure. One of them is Ken.
There ya go...way more than you wanted to know about Friday the 13th. Now, to keep in the spirit of BCY’s policies, chicken, chicken, chicken.
Our nearest KFC with edible food is a 4 hour drive...one way. There’s a couple up in Billings, but not one of them has ever given me drive-worthy bucket of chicken. Ever.
