The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

These are the best words I can share with you Teila. They were a life saver to me back in 2010 when I had some really tough decisions to make (I actually had a small framed copy on my wall at work).

And it helps to keep in mind, life changes all the time. Some changes we choose and some are imposed on us...I prefer changes I choose.
A was thinking the same thing!

Not to change the subject but here's what i just found when I went to feed and water, and almost got bitten by...except George saved me from that fate, he started growling and that's when I saw it, 2 more steps and I'd be a gonner!
I know their around here but this is the 1st ever on my place. Such is this time of year in South Texas.

That's a big 'un! Thank goodness for George!

Last year, twice, rattlesnakes feel out of a tree on the 6th hole on the golf course! Weird, they each fell out on a Friday, one week apart. That'll speed up play for sure!

Yeah, had a bull snake fall on me last week when I opened an interior door on one of my pens, was up on top of the door ledge. That will make you hurt yourself trying to get away!:gig
George helps me feed and water...he's a "Good helper" :lau Time to go feed my birdies, he gets all excited

Sorry, but had to laugh  Snakes sure can cause a person's blood pressure to rise!

Last summer DH went to the pump house to turn on the irrigation water and stepped on a rattler right inside the door. He now carries a flash light and checks before entering :p

Yeah, here in South Texas, you take a step and look down....even if it's pavement!

Thank You :hugs

I have not actually ever met this guy and he is just an on-line acquaintance who lives in Aus, as far as I know does not own chickens and I doubt very much is lurking here ... Having said that, you there Chris?? ;)

I do not think he would be interested enough to search for anything I have on the net outside of Facebook.

Freaky! Anyways, back to our usual program ..............
Nice coincidence then!

Just one last snakey post (don't want to scare anyone)...

This butte that runs along part of the golf course is named "Rattlesnake Butte". Hmm, wonder how they came up with that name?

Yikes Sean you can keep him! I am very pleased he is the gonner and not you or George… can I ask how his demise occurred? Did you chop him with something you had handy or shot him? I am just curious.

Wow Debby you have been busy! Wish I could be there! Thank you for those words, they have also helped! Awesome picture of the course!
