Hi Bob, that sure is a crazy work schedule you have. Are you off work today?

I read about your tomato and tomatillo plantings in the gardening thread. I never grew tomatillos but for tomatoes I always planted them deeper than just their seeding ground level...when you plant them deeper, they send out new roots higher up and it makes for a sturdier stem.

I'm off today... I work for a small company that is growing fast. We have more demand for product than we can manufacture, so we're trying to ramp up production, but with that comes training, hiring, etc. I'm the last stop before things go to paint and get boxed...

ETA: With the Tomatillos, I figure I'll let them grow to about 8" and then replant them with six inches of the stem covered.

Thanks NFC, i am going to build a starter turkey brooder today. Cheating because i have 2 hatched already, using a large storage bin for the base.
