The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning Debby! We needed the rain but not quite that much...the last I looked it was 2.5”. Usually we don’t get a lot in July unless it’s in the form of a storm with the hail and wind. I wish I could send some your way.

I miss those good rains we had in FL. The area we are in now is considered high desert and wow, is it ever dry...desert indeed!

Well Debby, i'm learning my way around, but good so far... I can see where my skills are needed but patiently waiting so not to upset the apple cart... Rain, hmmm 2.2" this month and 90+ for the year. OH! And my bator is chirping, got a few early starters. Main hatch isn't until tomorrow.

It sounds like you're off to a good start with the job! What do you have in the bator now?

I use to grow 28 different varieties of peppers every year, until the deer got to thick and would eat my garden down to the ground. Aji peppers, IMHO are the best. I also, use to pickle chile pequin peppers, great sprinkled over spaghetti!:drool
:thumbsup

You are definitely getting more rain that we are DMC, grass hasn't looked like that since a month ago.

Kendra doesn’t look impressed!
At least she doesn't look upset :)

Well I thought I hated them lol only ever had McDonald's/fast food pickles I guess.
Ah, so you HAVE had pickles before. Can't say I'd be looking to buy any based on fast food quality. Wouldn't buy a tomato or cheese or much of anything else either! WAY back when I was a kid you used to be able to get massive (and good) dill pickles at the fort on Tom Sawyer's Island at Disneyland. Don't know about now.

Look for canning cucumbers in the store or a farmers market. They are different from other cucumbers.
What makes them different?

Re: pickles...give me DILL! You all can have the sweet ones. I've never tried making any.
Same here Debbie!

We knew you were a smart man Rob. The dumb ones are the "leaders" who decide they have to "make their mark" to "justify" their assignment by changing things before they understand anything about the business at hand.

The company annual picnic is this afternoon. Since they give away free meals to anyone that wants one, that means I get to close the restaurant at 2pm today!
:woot

I'll be making up for it though tomorrow when we have a big tournament for about 65-70 people...that day's going to start early with me cooking breakfast for everyone :th First thing to do that day? Get that huge coffee urn going!

@bruceha2000 don't know about the giant pickles at Disneyland but when we were kids, our favorite movie treat was their humongous dills available at the snack bar. If you ate it slowly enough, it would last almost through the entire movie. :D
