Broke my tibia 9 years ago in a motorcycle accident. This time fell on hip! Same leg though!

I want to give an "atta boy" to DH.

Yesterday, on top of everything else he did, he worked in the kitchen with me last night preparing potatoes for the Cattlemen's Association dinner. We set up a folding table in the kitchen, washed, cut and cooked about 30 lbs of potatoes. I had already made the dressing, hard boiled eggs, diced the celery & onions so once the spuds were cooked and cooled, we just had to toss the potato salad all together.

Today we have 5 big smoked briskets to slice (thank goodness for a meat slicer!). I'll warm the meat and beans in the oven so when the food is picked up, it's hot.

By 4pm today, all that meat, potato salad, smokehouse beans and 2 gallons of bbq sauce will go out the door. And I'll be doing a happy dance to see it go (if I can still walk by then). Sean, I might need to borrow your crutches!

Diva, are you reading these posts? Prepping huge amount of corn, knocking down chimneys, preparing gianormous feasts, taking care of the flocks with a bum hip, and all the other stuff that these characters are getting done and you say that I'm busy? I get exhausted just reading all of these activities!!

We husked all this plus 3 tidy cat buckets full. I didn’t get done cleaning my kitchen until 11:00 as I wasn’t leaving that sticky mess for the morning. I bagged 36-2 cup bags and have 2 large roasters to bag yet. I couldn’t do anymore last night. My back is wanting to go out so must have tweeked it picking it, might be a long cleaning day today.
