The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

It is, but I won't have my chickens up there this winter. DH's assistant is going to watch over my girls while we're gone (he's done it before).

This isn't going to be a "forever" home...more of a "for now" home.
Congrats, i like brick houses. No need to paint except maybe windows.

Tolbunt Frizzle Polish x Smooth Tolbunt polish eggs!

I want to see some photos of when they get their baby punk top knots, especially the frizzled ones. They are going to be so cute!

Congrats on the house @N F C, it is a cutie that's for sure. I've found a couple more properties to look at and hubby is keen to go looking tomorrow, but considering the weather is pretty awful today and tomorrow I'd rather leave it until next week.

The good homes go fast.

Lifestyle sections don't seem to up there which is what we are looking at currently, especially not ones covered in dead gorse. One has two old houses on it that were moved onto the property ages ago but never finished. The little one looks perfect for a chicken coop and the other would be great for sheltered aviaries and storage. That one at least hasn't got the terrible covering of dead gorse that the others do. Do you guys have gorse over there? Probably not - it was brought over from England by settlers and it loves the environment here. It even flowers twice a year because it thrives so well here. It's also a horrible, prickly, noxious weed.

Nope, don't have that. Had to look it up, sounds nasty. The flowers are pretty though.

The new/old house is good insurance against homelessness and I'm all in favor about that
Yes, lack of homelessness is good. Are you going to put "must accept landlords as roommates if landlord loses job with house benefit" in the lease when you rent it out?

I don't know which parts of your comment make me shudder the most...homelessness or being a landlord :lau Neither one appeals to me!

Bad Bruce!
