We have a contract on a house in Casper! Should be closing around the 1st week of November

It's a 1950's brick ranch, 3 bedrooms, big kitchen, hardwood floors in most rooms, fenced back yard, detached garage. It needs some attention (maybe more than we currently think right now) but it's a cute one!

We're going to work on it this winter, at least all the indoor stuff. The outside stuff can wait until spring.

Originally we tried to get a house in Cody, but the one we bid on was lost to someone that was buying the house with cash. Cody is where we ultimately want to end up, but for now, Casper works!

Oh, sure.....lose out on one little house in Cody and then totally give up and go to Casper!! That's 4 whole hours from here, ya know, as opposed to 40 minutes from here! I must admit, though, that it's closer to your golf course.

Thrilled for you, Debby, seriously! Planning to move in right after closing to get started?

We had to make a decision if we were going to get going on a project house this winter or wait another year. There just wasn't anything else in Cody right now to do anything there. But that is where we plan to end up in the long run!

Yep, we'll get moved after closing. I'll be there with the cats all winter and DH will divide his time between Casper and here since he doesn't have a whole terrible lot do to at the golf course this winter.

You & Ken are buzzing around the state this winter...maybe we can meet up for lunch (since that didn't work so well in Rawlins )!
