I'm doing fine or at least as well as can be expected, birds are all doing great, actually made it down to look at them yesterday and wore myself out, got sick at my stomach, thought I was going to pass out but didn't...my neighbor was feeding them at the time and had to help me back into the house. :lau sorry to hear about your keets. I remember my guineas...I absolutely got to a point of hating them :lau
Gosh, you are going to have to take it easy. Guineas are easy to hate. I got rid of the ones in TN due to the noise. Seems like they make less noise as they mature. My original group, at least the 4 hens i kept, are pretty quiet now.

I wish i could have had her raise her babies in the coop. But it is full of this years guineas. Seems like she was trying so hard to be a good mom.

They are very protective, but being constantly in motion tend to wear the keets out and do not warm them enough especially when the grass is damp or it is raining.

Yeah, the keets really have to hustle to keep up. But if they get stuck, they yell and she goes back to check on them.

How are you Sean? How are the birds doing? My guinea showed up yesterday with only 2 keets, lost 5 during the big storm we had. Made me sad for her, she called for them all day.

Sorry about your keets (ugh, autocorrect does not like that word) Cap :(

Yes! The bad one last year in Sonoma was in October. 4 of the 5 biggest and deadliest fires were in October

Hope this October is better for you Ron.

Glad your neighbor is helping you out Sean! Sounds like you still have a ways to go, take it easy.

Seriously, they can do that to you. Last Guinea fowl I had was a male who just showed up one day. He would perch on the deck railing each morning and make more noise than any rooster ever thought to make. After about 3 years he was taken by a fox.
