Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate

I just based it on what our bill costs us. Power hasn't gone up here much as there's a lot of competition between companies and even online calculators that allow you to compare companies to see which gives you the best deal.
No deals here, you get the power company that serves your area. Would you still have options up north where you are looking to move?

I am hoping to setup the Batteries as a back up and to use to alleviate power fluctutations .... They are expensive though. up to 8K and 2K for installation.
Our power company has a thing where the put in a 7 kWh Powerwall and lease it to you for $15/month for 10 years (then they take it out). It does NOT run your house except in the event of a power outage though. They own the batteries and use them to smooth out the load on the grid but promise not to drop them below 30%. But with those batteries and your own solar, you have power even if the grid goes down which is not the case without battery backup.

I have no idea how much it would cost to get it installed though. I imagine it could be pretty pricey depending on your current service panel setup. At minimum I think you need a subpanel for the things you need to run during an outage.

Good mornig, all. No solar power this morning. :barnie Not quite sure what the sun looks like anymore - poor short term.
Your keeping good company sour, it's cloudy here this morning.
