been there, done that, not fun, jars the spineYeah, I'm surprised because I had an argument with the crutches last night and I lost. Landed on my butt, didn't have boots on!wasn't a very far fall but it definitely hurt.

Well it was actually George's fault. He brought a grass burr in with him. I stepped on it, yeah I was barefoot, anyway you can guess my immediate reaction! The only place to go when no legs are on terra firma, is down.it smarted pretty good, just glad I didn't hear anything go "pop"!

Pretty well Debby. HARD day yesterday. Put out the trash and recycles, let the chickens out, snack them and the alpacas, monthly lunch with other retirees, grocery shopping, get the chickens back behind the gate, snack them and the alpacas, then out to dinner with DW, DDs and friends (woman and 17 Y/O daughter) that moved to Tennessee a few years ago. They were up because the daughter was looking at Dartmouth. Check to make sure the chickens all put themselves away, collect the egg I expected would be waiting and lock up the barn, read forums. Yep, VERY hard day
Will be cutting wood again today, once it warms up a bit.
have to go to town today and see if we can find some fire starters for the warm morning stove, might as well pick up some chicken feed while at it, getting low.
chicken water bottle was icy this morning, had to shake it up to break the ice, HATING this
Slow down dude, you're working way too hard!
Sharron, what do you do with your chickens when you go to FL for the winter? Do they get to go too and spend some time lolling on the beach?
no, i would if i could but i don't have a coop down there. usually the gd takes care of them, pay her and pay for the food of course but this year going to take them over to a friends place, he has a couple of runs with shelters so "renting" him
gd has a part time job and won't have time to feed(she likes to sleep in) and there wouldn't be time for her to feed, its 10 am here and shes still asleep, she has to go to work today too
