I think we all need to sign a pact that for the rest of this year we will not break, puncture, rupture, tear, cut, mangle or mutilate ourselves!
or each other.....

Where’s that pact? I’ll sign it right now. I do better with structure and instructions, so I’ll probably be able to stick to it.

No lifting, bending, twisting, reaching up or out....yada yada. Like when I was pregnant with Kenny and they put me on “bed rest”. Oh, sure! Ken’s out to sea and I have a four year old and a two year old. Bed rest? Only in my dreams, Doc!

I actually did this a week ago today carrying Kendra. Pain was so instantaneous I almost dropped her, but I managed to get her to the deck, set her down, get the door opened and let her crawl inside. Thought I just pulled a muscle but it wasn’t responding to the heat/ice route, the muscle relaxers and Ibuprofen. After a really rough night last night, Ken took me in. Even my feet hurt too bad to let the sheets and quilts touch them. Guess I won’t be going to Riverton tomorrow and Rock Springs, Green River, Torrington, Upton and Huelett Nov1-9th either. The only halfway comfortable positions for me right now are laying down flat or standing, and even that ain’t much relief. Sitting is the worst. So sitting through hours and hours in the car are probably out of the question. If the pain meds help that might change, though. Hate the thought of him driving that far by himself!

Debby, I’m so excited about your new house! Congrats to you and Frankenfoot. And yep, we need lots of pictures! Wish you were closer, though. I happen to know a dynamite electrician who works pretty cheap!

I dunno where else I was going with this post - forgot to use quotes and lost my train of thought. <sigh> So for the many of you I missed, it’s the medication’s fault!

It does take a couple of weeks to start feeling better.

Hopefully the disk material does not keep poking into the nerves.

I understand fully Blooie. You just find a comfortable position, if that's possible and heal up. :hugs my thoughts and prayers are with ya!

B, I'm so sorry to hear about your injury! That stinks big time. Please do whatever you can to get better soon! We miss you when you aren't here.

Thanks about the new house! I wish it was in Cody but guess that wasn't in the cards for this year. Still our plan to end up there though! Bet a day hasn't gone by since earlier this year when I haven't thought of being there.

I'll keep that dynamite electrician in mind, lol. DH can do the basic stuff but ever since he fell into some live wires and about burnt an ear off, he hasn't been all the keen on doing electrical work :lau (not that I blame him for that!).

Thanks, guys! He was going to have me go up to Billings to see a specialist for a precise steroid injection but then he remembered my previous reaction to Prednisone. So he said if I could tough it out with conservative treatment he’d rather we tried that first. He also put me back on Neurontin for the nerve pain. So at this point all I wanna do is lay down with my trusty iPad and let the world turn without me, but dinner’s in the oven. :rant

You do so much for everyone else B, it's time they took care of YOU! Let them.
