I used to look at hunting magazines and always wanted to get one of those cheap incubators with quail eggs when i was a kid. Parents were not keen on pets . Finally got my first chickens when we moved to TN. I got Buff Orps and RIR. That was 2008. Ended up with over 20 breeds, each with their own coop. Then i had banties and silkies in runs in the barn.

I started out with an old Browder still air incubator and Coturnix eggs. Hatched 27 out of 50, first try.

i love hatching quail. So tempted to hatch more, nowhere to put them though!

Yeah, they really are the easiest bird to hatch. I don't ever have enough room but seem to always manage making room...you know how it is when addicted!

We have them all up and running now (just started a bit ago)...maybe she'll ask for help judging? These are going to move pretty fast, they all close Friday, Nov. 30th.
