Can't like that Ron. There is always an "element" that can't/won't succeed so they have to "poison," anyone else's efforts that would.

Many years ago when I showed dogs, bad folks would clip off a dog's coat before the dog was shown. Someone threw acid on a competitors dog. Sometimes they would spill dye on it. It was easier then because some shows were benched and dogs would be there till evening. There are always nasty folks just waiting for their chance.

Last time I went to a Dog show to meet old friends, an exhibitor was darkening the dog's nose - it was pink - supposed to be black. Not unusual for her but, she was doing it right in front of many spectators. One woman asked me if that was permitted, and I told her "NO" but funny how no AKC reps were around any of the many times she did it.

i admire you booie , i could have never kept my mouth shut, i would have let her know the true reason for the vote, in fact everyone would have known if left up to me, that is if they didn't already know

Oh, I did speak up about the reasons in the Public Hearing for the license. Told Deenie I hated to see her throw good money after bad, when she could take that application money and at least buy aprons for the cooks and waitresses, and that if she’d clean it up and make it more inviting for customers she’d soon be as successful as an “only restaurant in town” should be. Many years ago, under the old ownership when Kenny was head cook there, they installed a bench outside because it was usually that packed with people waiting to get in. The bench is still there...the customers are not. Shortly after being denied her license, she closed up. There is someone else who is now getting ready to open, but it has taken him two years and tons of money to clean it up....one whole wall had to come out to get out the black mold from the pipes that Deenie’s husband “installed”. The grease traps that keep grease out of the town sewer system were all plugged so badly that the town had to dig out the street over them to get them out. Yeah. But I’m the bad guy. I’m a tree, I can bend. I think Vickie had invested her savings into her daughter’s dream, and it was easier to blame me and the council than her daughter.

Someone in the Community donated fish to the club so they could be in the fair. It was nice to see the support

My next door neighbor. We got along fine until I was on the town council and voted against her daughter getting a liquor license to bolster her failing restaurant. The restaurant was failing because it was a dirty, nasty place to eat, and no amount of liquor was going to change that. Besides, there's a bar on the same block as the Cowtown Cafe, and a mostly LDS town of just 600 people doesn't need two bars. She yelled at me across the fence and called me all kinds of profane names. I can handle that. She worked where Kenny did at the Red Apple and tried to make his life there living hell at first, but then she settled down. I can handle that too. She'll talk to Ken and Tam, Jenny and Kenny, but not to me. And that I can handle. When I got disabled parking set up for the pool and the new splash park, she made some snide remark to her daughter, deliberately loud enough for me to hear, to the effect that I was on the council to get special privileges for - and this was totally clear - "that retarded crippled kid." Ken had to hold me back, then. That I couldn't handle.
What a B !
I hope that the saying what goes around comes around (or is that the other way around? ) comes true for her!
