The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Some of the things we need/want to do:
paint everything
take off the ceiling popcorn in the 3 rooms that have it
make a door from the master to go into a 3/4 bathroom
create a new bath off the hallway using part of the existing bath (it's huge)
replace kitchen counters & appliances
kitchen has laminate flooring, see if there's hardwood under there (it's everywhere else)
take out the old non-functioning swamp cooler
replace a couple of cracked windows
landscaping yard/trimming trees
create an off street parking spot behind the garage (there's an alley back there)
fix the backyard fencing
and I'm sure we'll run into other things...
Nice Projects!

Dairy is good for you. Have you tried enzymes or digestive advantage?

I haven't but that's a good idea. I did recently buy original unsweetened almond milk (the one I got before was vanilla and the regular original they add sugar! :sick), Lactaid, and the A2 milk you recommended. In fact, got 2 A2 cause they were on sale and also got a gallon of regular milk so bought way too much :lau but I haven't tried any of it yet. My dad did finish one od the A2s though.

I know I said I wasn't going to say it (and I'm not) but I just wanna say that I think it's really annoying and pathetic that I can quit the other thing, which was way worse, but yet sugar, of all things, still has such a vice grip on me
Admitting it will help you gain some control over sugar. You do not have to cut it completely but try replacing it. Limit sugar treats some how. Either only have it every other day or go once or twice a week. Try a savory snack, plain popcorn for example. Also eat an apple an hour or two after dinner

Thanks, these are good suggestions! I think my other biggest issue is after dinner. I stay up late so I get hungry again so I am constantly snacking. Or even if I am NOT hungry I will snack. I have to have a snack when I watch TV.

Debby, Tam can help you with you with that blue countertop. She sure changed hers in her old house.

Got through the night. Funny, I start taking the overnight bag everywhere I go, even for day trips, all winter long. But since the weather was supposed to good this Saturday, I left it. Lesson learned. I’m the one who got the date messed up, so it’s all on me this time.

I am way behind - but I did see the pics of your house @N F C (love those floors).

We've had an offer on our place but it's so low it's insulting. There are tiny houses out here asking what they've offered us for our reasonably big, fully renovated house. We'll make a much higher counter offer and if they don't come up to it we are more than happy to keep waiting. It's not like we've found anywhere yet.

The stress is doing nothing for my waistline though - really wish I was one of those people who couldn't eat when they were stressed out. We are taking next week off open homes wise so I can relax a bit. Mostly I'm worried about Christmas and being able to buy the kids presents. I've got a bit of money from selling a few birds, and I'll have another 6 Button quail females to sell soon (everyone only wants females) so that will help. It'll all work out I'm sure.

@Blooie glad your survived your unplanned overnight stay.

I sometimes do too. Sometimes I'll run off and eat a frosty or tons of sugar when I'm stressed. Last night's frosty wasn't stress but often is
